It was a great day for the 12 shooters that made it to the Provincials this year. The temperature was comfortable and the wind was considerable and shifting often. We shot 40 shots in the AM and broke for lunch at around 12:20. Thanks, Deb, for picking up the food. We were back at it shortly after 1:00 PM and all done by 3:30ish. The match moved very well for shooting 20 lanes in one day. Awards were presented as soon as scores were tallied and those that had a long drive headed out. John, Dave and Jeff helped to bring in the targets from the sight-in range; thanks guys. It started to lightly rain just after I put the equipment in the storage garage and headed to the clubhouse to change. By the time I got on the 401, the rain was really coming down. Got the vehicle power washed for free.

The newly placed targets added great variety and fit in well with the challenge level of the course. When I get back to the club I will try to remember to figure out the difficulty factor.

Thanks to all the shooter who made for a great day of shooting and to Deb for helping out and taking pictures. I think we all won today, so congratulations to everyone.

The Nationals take place the third weekend in July at Port Colborne and the next match at Grenville is on Sunday, August 18th.

Great match, so much shooting! I really enjoy the 1 shot per target format - less time pulling strings and more time shooting. Highlight of the day for me was watching the tree targets sway in the wind, or have trees on either side moving in an out of the sights. Many thanks to Tim and the guys who put the time in to make it happen.

Thanks to Tim and everyone who made it out. Echo the comments about the great day and the course. The new targets were a pile of fun and elevated. The new target given the "F" designation lived up to it's letter - great placement up high between some other trees.
