Now it's time to do some shooting. Switched the Sightron over to this rig and will be trying AA 7.87s. Ran it over the chrony and the AA pellets definitely shoot faster by about 15 fps. I hope there is a washer to take out, since that would certainly be the easiest way to slow it down. Do not really want to mess with the lubes and tune, since it shoots so well as is.
The left side is where I had to add the wood to make it right hand friendly. I kind of like the effect of the different wood.

Could not get use to Sightron; just felt wrong and offhand shooting really suffered. Put the Leupold back on and all was well.
I also retuned to 11.1 ft/lb and set it up quick before the last match. Ended up holding high and right to hit anything and sure enough, when I tried it at home the day after the match, it was shooting eight clicks low and four clicks left. Made the adjustment and it is back to hitting dead on.
Set up now for the worlds in England next August. Lots of practise and a good number of matches between now and then. We have high hopes for Canada’s springer team.

Well, as luck, fate, karma or whatever would have it, I finally bought the SR Mk2 from Tom. Many thanks; only been waiting about 15 years for this one.
The Mk2 action is in the ambi stock and shooting the lights out with JSB 7.87 pellets. The Macarri CS1000 stock has been modified slightly to hold the Rowan riser and I added walnut spacers to the cheek riser. I dropped the Mk1 action in it today and hope to drift some into some paper targets tonight. Lots of white caps on lake today so the long ones will be educational. You can actually see the whitecaps in the pics.
As you will see in the pics to come, the Sightron is back on the gun and I have made friends with it. The rig weighs in at a comfortable 16 pounds and feels right when I shoulder it.
Will update after the Provincials on June 15th, the Crosman on the 22nd and 23rd, and the Nationals July 20th and 21st. A good test of gun and shooter and a great warm-up for the Worlds in August.

Looking good! I'll be interested to hear what action & stock you plan on using at the Worlds.

Am considering taking the gun as shown and the Mk2 action as I am pretty sure it will fit in the case. Insurance if you will, rather than trying to rebuild the Mk1 if something goes wrong. And we all know things can go wrong. Will have to get the action chrony checked on the Wednesday to be sure I can just swap out the action if needed.
