Re: 2017 Provincial Match August 20th.
Would like to say it came off without a single issue, but it seemed Murphy's law was working well today. Due to a misunderstanding, we were unable to access the sight in targets from the work building, so had a makeshift sight-in range and pushed things a little late. Thanks to a bunch of guys that jumped in and got the sight-in range up and running.
Also, Dean just happened to have seven suitable field targets in his van, enabling us to set up the Gunslinger match in a very interesting way. More on that later, but many thanks to Dean for rescuing the event, so we did not have to cancel.
We had been in the process of replacing all the rivets with the clip on washers on the Gamo targets, but today was the day that many of those washer/rivet combos decided to fall off. Way too many cold lines, but that will not happen again, since all of them will be replaced with stainless screws and the lock bolts for the next time we shoot.
Even with all of that, it was a great day and a challenging/enjoyable course. Great company can make it easy to overlook the problems and stress the positives. Thanks to all the participants.

Speed is fine but accuracy is final. You must learn to slow down in a hurry.

Thanks for those pictures John et al.
Thanks for running this match Tim, it's a beautiful course, and deceptively difficult! Well worth the 3hr drive there, and 5hr drive home!

Great pics John, thank you. Big thank you to Tim for taking charge of this match. Great big thanks to everyone for their patience and help setting up the sight in range. Highlight of the day for me was James' shoot off winning shot,(last pic) nailed it!
Looking forward to the next one,
RYan

Absolutely fantastic photos John! I think they're the best yet. Well done!
Unfortunately it's going to be a week before I can post mine... just didn't have time last night to convert from raw and post before leaving for the Gaspé where I am now (in a tent with my Angel).
I've got my priorities right. (Then again, maybe not, because I'm writing this! But I've GOT to rest sometime!)
Cheers!
