Elite Scope PA Ring & Oversized Turret
Hi Guys,
I've been speaking with Brian Samson in the UK regarding his 3D printed PA Ring and Oversized turret for a Bushnell Elite 8-32x40 scope.
Does anyone one have real experience with these? He mentioned George has these on his scope but not sure who he is referring too?
I have an oversized turret but its a unit that gets snugged down by set screws and it will scratch the original elevation turret which i want to avoid.
Thanks for the help!
Rodney

Re: Elite Scope PA Ring & Oversized Turret
I have one of the PA rings on a front focus Leupold and really like it. Len made it up for me a few years back using aluminum. The printed one looks very good, will be quite light and does not require you to tighten a set screw into you objective bell.
I have never used the larger turret, but I know many people really like them. I have no trouble seeing the markings on the turret, so I have never bothered. I even have a few for some of the scopes I have, but have never used them. All the ones I have do fasten on with set screws.
If you order the PA piece, please let me know as maybe we could order together and save something on the shipping.

I have one of these from Brian, haven't installed it on my Bushnell yet though. I've heard good things about it though.

okay thanks guys. I ordered the pair before seeing both you responses.
Tim, I asked Brian to add a second p/a for you. he said he has 4 others ahead of me.
waiting to hear back I paid $4 pounds shipped so I doubt he will add anything to postage.

Thanks, Rodney
Will wait to hear from you, but don't delay your order too much on account of me.

np Tim. like I mentioned I'm waiting until he finishes several others.
now, can one of you tell me how to optically center my elite 8-32? I've been reading it has 48 clicks per rev but not sure how many rev it has for each turret.

Re: Elite Scope PA Ring & Oversized Turret
Not the most accurate way to do it, but I just turn the turret one way until it stops, then turn it all the way in the opposite direction and count the revolutions till it stops. Mine usually ends up being just over 4 revolutions. I then turn it back half way. I do this with both turrets.
This does not mean your scope is perfectly centred optically, but it is close enough for me.
