thumbhole vs sporter stock

Post by 187_cuteness » Sat Oct 17, 2015 4:32 pm

I have an hw97k but see a thumbhole stock for sale on the CAF. What stock do you guys prefer for field target? I like that it has an adjustable butt pad.

I am on a waiting list for a custom stock from Joe on the CAF but I'm really far down the list so I was thinking of grabbing this stock while I wait.

I would say grab it and try it. If you like it, that's great, if not, you can always sell it. It is a personal preference as some love them, some not so much. I had one years ago on an HW100 and I really liked it.

the ad was withdrawn last night. I found 3 in stock at ssso for $215 which works out cheaper. I will order one from them.

I'd recommend to save your $$ and put it towards a custom stock instead.

If you are really serious about getting a top notch FT rig, I second what Tom said.

you guys are right plus ssso only has the sporter for sale. Rhonda said she's willing to take one off a kt model but I'm going to hold out.

I want to get serious into FT but skills another story lol.

I've been getting help with chairgun and click range cards so hopefully I can get some range time before winter arrives.
