Hammerli AR20FT

Post by dHb » Tue Oct 16, 2012 7:49 am

After a year with my AR20FT I'm still quite pleased. It was a pain getting the proper regulator from Umarex (the first shipments had regulators for 10m shooting so were 200FPS too slow for FT) but according to Airgun Source the guns are now shipping with the correct 16 joule power levels. There have been some reports online of people experienced POI shifts after removing the cylinder for filling, but it hasn't been an issue with mine. The stock hamster is a little on the small side and there aren't enough spacers included with the gun to get it low enough for my liking. An aftermarket hamster from the UK has made a world of difference. Overall, with a list price of less than $1000 for the rifle and scope it's a great way to get going in FT shooting. It'll be years, if ever, before I need more gun.

as you are well aware, it may be years before you NEED more gun, but how long before the R.A.W TM1000 is calling your name and you WANT more gun! i have to admit that I like the ergonomics of your rifle and youn shoot it well.

"It'll be years, if ever, before I need more gun." about an hour after I wrote that I took a second look at the TM1000, quickly followed by reading everything I could find about it. Now I'm lusting after it.

Tough choice guys. I like the TM1000 but I also like the EV2
Choices, Choices. Do you really think the TM 1000 is alot better than the EV2?

I first have to shoot one, or buy both before I can make any judegement on that matter.

I think when I buy the EV2, I ll tell you how good or bad it really is.

The TM1000 looks too much like a home project. I like the look of the EV2, since it looks more like a 10m gun than anything else.

I hope you guys, can give me advice on that matter.

Biagio
