I want to get this announcement out early to make it easier for you to plan to attend.

The next match will be on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Grenville FT Club and it will be our last outdoor match of the 2017 season. Do not forget that the time falls back an hour that day so be sure to consider that.

See the link for monthly match details at bottom of schedule:

All classes are offered:

Open Division: PCP and Piston classes (20 ft/lb max)
Hunter Division: PCP and Piston (20 ft/lb max)
WFTF Division: PCP and Piston classes (12 ft/lb max)
Junior Hunter Class if we have some juniors (20 ft/lb max)

At least two shooters are required in a class to be eligible for an award.

Please drop me an email by the Tuesday before the match, at the latest, if you are going to participate and be sure to include your division and class. If you know in advance of that Tuesday, please let me know as it always makes things easier.

CAFTA Rules can be found in the following thread:

Directions to the Grenville Club can be found on their website:

Use the North gate on the east side of the road, opposite the clubhouse.

Looking forward to a great turnout to wind up this full year of shooting at Grenville.

Weather could be a factor on Sunday, but I shot in the rain at the Fudd and thoroughly enjoyed it.

So far we have:

1 - WFTF Piston
1 - Piston Hunter

Bringing my 7 foot umbrella to protect my new gun. Not worried about me, just the gun :D

Good chance that Vitaly and I will also attend, but that is really dependent on the latest weather forecast. Neither of us wants to drive 2+ hours there only to sit in the rain and cold, and then 2+ hours back. But it's a shame to miss the last match of the season.

(Do you know when the prize draw is for the raffle that you were selling tickets for?)

Hi Eldor

Vitaly has already told me that he would not be attending due to the weather.

As to the draw, it is a post or two down. The draw was held at the Fudd match in Port Colborne.

Due to the really bad weather forecast and also that Vitaly doesn't want to go, I too have decided that it's not worth the long drive out and back this time. Too bad because I was actually quite looking forward to it.

I hope you guys don't get soaked (or freeze) and that you have a good time.

See you all next season! (I'm going to practice a LOT to be ready.)

Some light rain and wind sounds like a great training day for when it happens at a big match, like in England and Wales this year for the Canadian Team. I am seeing it as another experience that helps me get to the point where I am never surprised.

Shot in the tail end of two hurricanes, shot in rain with wind, shot in 100 degree F. conditions and now will add some cold to that. Just waterproofing my leather stuff, got my big umbrella out, oiling down the action of the gun and will be ready to enjoy the day, come what may.

Looks like three of us will be shooting. Probably a group of three shooting on two lanes with one rotating score keeper. Should move through at a good pace.

Dave, John and I had a great time today at Grenville, shooting in some wind and a little rain. The rain for the most part held off until we were done. When were started it was raining but not too far into it, the rain pretty much stopped until we were done. Of course we shot the three extra lanes just for fun and ended up getting a little wet when we were taking the tree targets down. No one seemed to mind as the guns were already cased.

Just doesn't get much better that shooting in a group with two great guys that just like to shoot, just like I do.

Pic of Results. Hope you can see the numbers as it is a pic of the screen on the computer.
