December 8th PFT Match

Post by Mac » Sat Nov 16, 2013 3:47 pm

After confirmation from John and Don, there will be an indoor pistol FT match on December 8th at Burlington. Doors will open at 8:30AM and the match will start between 9:30 and 10:00AM. A brief sight-in time will take place between 8:30AM and the start of the match.

The match will be shot on six lanes with two targets per lane and two shots per target. The minimum distance will be ten yards and the maximum distance will be 25 yards. Hit zones will be 1.5" or larger. The course will be shot once and then after a short break to change the distances, it will be shot through again for a total of 48 shots

The rules have remained the same as they were at the end of the indoor PFT season last winter.

Pistol Classes
A) Iron Sight - Sights will be limited to open sights and peep sights. (Aperture (peep) sights are being reviewed for possible move to class B for the start of 2014)
B) Non-magnified Optic Sights - Limited to non-magnification red dot, and non-magnification crosshair designs.
C) Scope - Scopes will be limited to 12 times zoom power. There will be no limits to reticule design.

I hope to see a good turnout to start off the 2013-2014 indoor, winter season. Please advise me by email if you will be attending and what class you will be competing in. I will order class awards on Wednesday, December 4th based on those confirmed to attend.

Thanks. See you there.

The more that get to see the sport, the better.

Are you bringing a pistol along? First match is free, but no pressure, you do what you feel comfortable with.

We are up to 16 shooters, so you should see a good variety of pistols and a nice gang of people.

Depends on how you want to shoot. If you are going to shoot sitting on a short stool or backless chair, you will need one. If you are going to shoot, sitting on the floor like I do, you will need a cushion or bum bag. Lots of chairs out where we sit before and after match, but no room for extra chairs at the firing line.
