Bipods in the Open devision.

Post by EdLena » Fri Apr 14, 2017 7:21 am

I'm new to FT and am considering entering my first completion at HAHA this April 22/17.
I've read that bipods are allowed in the open division. How common are they? Also I read this in the rules that seems to contradict the bipod rule.
"C) Standing shall be defined as standing upright. The air gun will be supported by the shooter and by no other means, other than traditional rifle slings or single point rifle slings, which may be used according to Division rules."
Thanks,
Ed.

Hi Ed

The bipod is legal in open division and used by those who cannot, for whatever reason, get down in a sitting FT position for free position lanes.

The rule for standing is a rule for all divisions and, along with the kneeling lanes, are called discipline lanes. These lanes have separate rules that govern them and are the same for all three divisions.
